Definition of Hödur


Hödur (also Höðr), in scandinavian mythology, is the blind god of darkness and winter, the son of Odin and Frigg, but also the brother of Balder. Guided by Loki he shot the mistletoe missile at his brother Balder and thus caused his death (the mistletoe was the only thing that can kill him).
