Definition of Hypnos


Hypnos, in Greek Mythology, is the god of sleep. He is the son of Nyx and Erebus, and has a twin brother, Thanatos. He brings rest and sweet dreams to men. He is represented in the guise of a young man bearing a crescent and a horn spilling sleep.
