Definition of Tech-noir

Tech-noir

Tech-noir (aka Future noir or Science fiction noir) is a blend between Film noir and Science Fiction (or Cyberpunk). The genre is known by that name since James Cameron called the night-club in his film The Terminator under this name to describe the style of his film. However, earlier films like Blade Runner, Soylent Green or Alphaville belong to this genre too.
