Uchronia

Uchronia (also known as alternate history) is a kind of story that rewrites the present or the future by changing a past event, such as "What if Hadolf Hitler was not born?, or, what if the Roman Empire was still in power nowadays?... A good contemporary example to cite is the novel "Batte Royale", which was also adapted to film.
