Definition of Valhalla

Valhalla

Valhalla, in scandinavian mythology, is a palace, with five hundred doors, designed for warriors killed in combat. Multitudes of warriors can enter abreast. Inside, everything happens as in earthly life. The men train to battle during the day and evening, they gather around a banquet presided over by Odin, where they are served an eternal pig and where the Valkyries pour them the drink of forgetfulness.
