Definition of Volcanic eruption

Volcanic eruption

Volcanic eruption is the term used to refer to the lava, rock fragments, hot steam and gases which are expelled from the Earth's crust by a mountain or hill (called a volcano), generally conical and having crater or evacuation, from which those materials are escaping.
Volcanic eruptions generally cause local damages, but sometimes their smoke cover thousands of square miles, causing disruption in air traffic but can also destroy the flora and fauna because of the toxic gases.
